Vedanta Hypocrisy!

The crows are sure that you would have definitely seen the new 'Vedanta' ad on your tv sets, which talks about this village girl 'Binno' (on the right) and how the company is bringing happiness in the lives of the villagers.
On the left is a picture from the site, where Vedanta is presently working. Thanks to this campaign on facebook, few people have an idea what these companies are doing in out villages.
There are more companies like Vedanta who are pressurizing/buying the government to occupy such regions in villages to dig out minerals from there. With no government support, the villagers are getting up to fight for their forests, their mountains...their home! (Does it remind you of some Hollywood flick? Some 'Avataar'?)

This is not new. It has been happening for quite sometime.  It is just that these companies are so big that they buy the mainstream media and project a very different image of theirs (like the present Vedanta campaign.) The people who are suffering are these poor villagers who have no government, no money and they end up losing their lands. In many cases, it forces them to pick up weapons against the companies and we call them 'Naxalites'!

You don't have to get up and fight. You just need to acknowledge that such things are happening. You just need to be aware and spread awareness about such issues.

The crows have done their job. What are you waiting for?

The crows are sharing 2 videos with you. The first one is the Vedanta TV commercial. The second one is a tribal song, which talks of the issue.
My-crow thinking continues...

Dinner!

Idea and Illustration by Mayura Datar.

The Hindu v/s The Times of India

In the recent Hindu v/s TOI fight, the Crows noticed that there were many in the crowd, who do not read either of the 2 papers, but were quite active in the online 'fight'. So, the Crows thought of taking a dig at it...Let some my-crow sense prevail! Illustration by Mayura Datar

BAR...

Do we need to say anything!

From Nilomee's project

Our friend Nilomee Jesrani shared with us the character she had made for her Animation charcter design course.

This crow here is called 'Death', the crow that executes the phenomenon of Death and claims the life of the victim.. In his free time, he forces his minions to practice and perfect Mozart's death symphony. =P

AIRLINE!

When a leading airline was going down, imagine why it was of no worries to the crows!

Big-Boss!

The idea of the "BIG BOSS' for the crows... is evidently  simpler and better!

Those two birds

The My-Crow Liner:

'For those two crows sitting on it, it was just another wire. But for us, it was the BORDER...'

The Able Crow son

It was kind of our friend Arun Kumar Kaushik to share this comic (Crow-mic!) strip with us. We are always looking for more of such stuff guys! :)

Australia :)

With the recently concluded Cricket series in Australia, The India team needs such Crow-mics!

You & Us: SOCIAL MEDIA

With Kapil Sibal saying weird things about 'filtering' the content you upload, the crows have another reason to laugh at us. "Keep it Sibal, silly!"

The beginning...

We had started the Facebook page with this terrible sketch of mine!

Though the sketchin was/is bad, but the idea wasn't. So, our friend Prakash Narkhede re-drew this for us...
